• We encourage you to memorize your piece, but this is not mandatory.
• You must perform your recording in one sitting. We can not accept “spliced” together portions of different performances.
• Our syllabi provide repertoire guidelines only. We recognize there is a vast array of repertoire choices available at every level and musical genre.
• Your evaluation is graded out of 100. You’ll get bonus marks up to 5% per selection and 10% overall may be awarded at the adjudicator’s discretion. Performance factors such as artistic merit and choice of repertoire may justify bonus marks.
• Candidates with an overall score of 70% or higher receive an official certificate of completion via email. 
• We also offer partial evaluations. We can evaluate you on one or two pieces or several pieces from the same musical period too. To request this, please click “Partial Evaluation.” 
• Please note that we grade evaluations using the same matrix as the complete evaluation; however, we will not issue a certificate.
• You must submit a high-quality recording. You can record in landscape or portrait, but please ensure the video frame is steady and film in plenty of light.
• Make sure the instrument and hands of the performer are always visible. Doing so enables your adjudicator to comment on your technique, posture, and sound quality. 

After submitting your recording, we’ll send you a confirmation email, and we’ll email you again as soon as we’ve reviewed your recording and assigned you a grade.
